Walking the dog in Konopiste Park.

Dogs are welcome in Konopiste Park and must be kept on a leash. When walking your dog please respect the wildlife as well as the other park users by keeping your dog under control.

The English park covers an area of 340 hectares, and if you are curious and love long walks, there are three educational trails that will guide you through it.

The educational trail "Under the trees" will show you the rare trees growing in the park (3.5 km radius).

The educational trail "History and nature of the Konopiste Castle Park" consists of two parts, the shorter one near the castle, approx. 1.5 km, will show you the sculptural decoration and small buildings around the castle, the longer part, approx. 5 km, will introduce the local nature (the route in total is 6.5 km).

The "Ferdinand d'Este Forest" educational trail gives an insight into forest management and shows the forest's inhabitants (2 km round trip).

On the way from the main parking lot to the castle, you will see mouflons, fallow deer and a herd of sika deer in a large enclosure. Directly opposite the enclosure is the "Stará myslivna" restaurant, which has an absolutely exceptional interior. Guests with dogs are also welcome here, a bowl with water for your four-legged friend is no problem.

With your dog on a leash, you can explore "Rose Garden" the most beautiful place in the park in the summer season. The yellow rose "Maršálka" still grows here, which was given as a gift by British Marshal Neel to the wife of the heir to the throne, Žofia Chotková.
